Mental Fitness & the 'JUDGE'
Do you know that voice in your head? Go on... admit it... it’s not a sign of madness! We all have it. The thing that goes around ‘Judging’ everything!
The one that says stuff a bit like this...
(Of self)
“You idiot, you are so stupid!” - “OMG.. how horrible is that <insert personal feature here>” - “You are not good enough!”
(Of others)
“How dare that person do this or that... “ - “Can’t believe they said that...” - “Who do they think they are!”
(Of situations)
“COVID has ruined my life....” - “Working from home is driving me up the wall can’t wait to get back to the office... “ - “My commute is such a drag”
This kind of voice is present in all of us in one way or another. It’s hard not to pay attention to it. But it can hold us back, damage our relationships, and keep us in constant stress and fear...
What would it be like to have a different voice? What would it be like to have a different perspective?
Self-fulling prophecy? Let’s try a little experiment...
Ask someone you know to take a minute to look around and carefully count all the ‘Green’ things they can see.
Next, ask them to close their eyes.
Now, with their eyes still closed, ask them ‘How many purple things can you remember seeing?”
The chances are they won’t be able to recollect how many purple things they saw. That’s because their brain was being asked to focus on something else.
Think about it, with COVID, climate change, and all the other negative things going on in our world, (not to mention the way it’s presented to us) it’s no wonder our brains are often most focused on the negative things in our world. It’s easy to see how we can create our own self-fulfilling prophecy about how bad life is.
Mental Fitness Gym
I’m offering a very powerful 6-week mental fitness program. It’s a gym for your mind. We can’t avoid negative situations, but we can choose to respond to them differently. I can help you build a mental fitness plan to help you turn negative emotions around much quicker.
If you’re not physically fit, you’d feel physical stress as you climb a steep hill.
If you’re not mentally fit, you’d feel mental stress, such as anxiety, frustration, or unhappiness, as you handle work and relationship challenges.
Recent events such as the Pandemic and the ongoing general uncertainty can over-stretch you and those you have working or personal relationships with.
How would you feel about a new upgrade in your mental operating system to not just survive but thrive in these tumultuous times?
